I know you're upset and you have every right to be. You're actually the first person I'm telling this whole story to—I didn't tell mom, dad, or anyone.
When my company changed contracts and started hiring new people for less money, I knew I had to leave. But I was scared. Scared that if I told you I was job hunting without having something lined up, you'd panic while you're pregnant and alone in India.
I thought waiting until I had good news was protecting you. But I was wrong. I should have trusted you and included you. You're my wife, my partner—you deserve to know everything, even the scary parts.
By keeping it from you, I made you feel like I don't share anything, and that breaks my heart.
Alhamdulillah, I got the new job and everything is stable now. But that's not the point. The point is I hurt you by shutting you out, and I'm truly sorry.
I promise this won't happen again. From now on, we face everything together—good or bad. You and our baby are my whole world, and I never want you to feel excluded from my life again.
